BassVault is a social platform that allows users to create public-facing profiles. Information that users voluntarily choose to make public, including usernames, profile images, biographies, embedded content, social media links, artist information, and other profile content, may be visible to other users, visitors, and search engines.
Users are responsible for determining what information they choose to make publicly available through the Service.
BassVault may offer artist, label, promoter, venue, or other verification programs.
To verify an account, BassVault may request additional information, including identification documents, business records, social media verification, website ownership verification, or other information reasonably necessary to confirm authenticity.
Verification materials will only be used for verification, fraud prevention, security, and compliance purposes and will not be publicly displayed unless specifically disclosed to the user.
BassVault reserves the right to approve, deny, revoke, or modify verification status at its sole discretion.
BassVault may offer paid features, digital goods, subscriptions, profile customizations, profile skins, promotional tools, or other services.
Payments are processed by third-party payment providers. BassVault does not store complete payment card information on its servers.
Users should review the privacy policies of payment providers used by BassVault.
The Music Shop at music.bassvault.net sells digital audio releases direct from artists to listeners, and it processes the personal information a marketplace needs in order to complete a sale.
To sell, an artist accepts a versioned seller agreement and is onboarded to Stripe Connect. BassVault records the seller's BassVault account identity, the version and timestamp of the agreement they accepted, and the Stripe Connect account identifier and onboarding status Stripe returns. Stripe, not BassVault, holds the identity and banking details behind that Connect account.
A purchase links the buyer's BassVault account to a Stripe customer identifier and a Stripe Checkout Session. BassVault stores the order, the priced line item, the payment status, and the resulting entitlement — the record that says which buyer may download which files. Card details stay with Stripe.
Order and entitlement history is transaction and audit evidence, so it survives a refund: a refunded entitlement is recorded as revoked and download authorization refuses it thereafter, but the row itself is kept. Each download is logged with its format and time so a seller's delivery claims and a buyer's access can be reconciled.
A seller's uploaded master audio is stored with the metadata needed to serve it — checksum, duration, and the generated preview — and is delivered only to the seller who uploaded it and to buyers holding an active entitlement.
A copyright notice filed through the public intake form records the claimant's name, email address, and postal address, the description of the work, the URLs alleged to infringe, the claimant's declarations, and their electronic signature. The claimant's network address is not stored in the notice. The notice is retained for as long as it is needed to act on it, answer any counter-notice, and satisfy BassVault's legal and record-keeping obligations, and is readable only by BassVault staff; it is not a public record and is not published on the site.
When an account is deleted:
BassVault may retain records necessary to investigate abuse, fraud, security incidents, legal claims, or violations of platform policies.
BassVault may use automated systems, filters, machine learning tools, keyword detection, spam detection tools, and other technologies to identify content that may violate platform rules.
Automated moderation tools may temporarily restrict, hide, flag, review, remove, or limit content pending further review.
Users acknowledge that automated systems may occasionally produce incorrect results and that moderation decisions may be reviewed by human moderators when appropriate.
BassVault may monitor platform activity to:
Information collected for these purposes may include device identifiers, IP addresses, account activity, login history, usage patterns, and related technical information.
Public portions of BassVault profiles may be indexed by search engines and other online services.
BassVault cannot control how third parties cache, archive, copy, or index publicly available information.
Users should carefully consider what information they choose to make publicly available.
Users located in jurisdictions with applicable privacy laws may have rights including:

BassVault implements reasonable technical, administrative, and organizational safeguards intended to protect information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.
However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage system is completely secure. Users acknowledge that use of the Service is at their own risk.
BassVault primarily functions as a platform that allows users to organize, display, and share content hosted by third-party services.
BassVault generally does not host music, videos, streams, or media content displayed through third-party embedded services unless explicitly stated otherwise.
Content displayed through embedded services remains subject to the terms, licenses, privacy policies, and practices of the respective third-party provider.
BassVault is not responsible for the availability, functionality, legality, accuracy, or content practices of third-party services.
BassVault is intended for users 13 and older. Users under 13 may not use the Service.

Updated versions will be posted on the Service with a revised “Last Updated” date.

Users who do not agree with an updated Privacy Policy must discontinue use of the Service and may request account deletion.
